If you’re the kind of artist I am, then you (gulp) are finicky, fickle, and a little precious about many things. You ideally want (uh oh) perfect working conditions, probably (how dare you, Jessica) with a favorite pen, and a cup of tea, or (why are we like this) a special ~fun~ drink if it’s the summer, after your perfectly-executed-or-else-what’s-even-the-point-of-starting-anything-at-all pre-writing routine, and most of all, you definitely (ouch this one’s going to really hurt) only want to write the most brilliant thing of your life every time you sit down to write. Every day you should be transcending your previous work with some new revelation.
